Attesting Personal Documents

The general rules and regulations applies to attesting personal documents, in addition to:

  1. Documents issued by institutions in the Republic of Yemen must be attested by the Consular Affairs Department at the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs or one of the Ministry’s branches in the governorates.
  2. Documents issued by Dutch, Swedish or Norwegian authorities and institutions must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the concerned country prior to being authenticated by the Yemeni Embassy in The Hague.
  3. The completion of the transaction requires brining the original Identity Card (recent) or a valid passport.
  4. In case of sending documents by mail, you must attach a copy of your ID card and / or a copy of your valid passport (in some cases, you may be required to send the original ID Card or passport at any time verification before completing the transaction).

Sale & purchase documents:

Marriage certificate of a foreign spouse:
Yemeni: €20       Foreigner: €50

Grants and inheritance divide documents
Yemeni: €30                                     

Attesting Commercial Documents

The general rules of Consular Services shall apply to the attestation of commercial documents in addition to the following:

  1. The Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands / Sweden / Norway must approve or certify any commercial document issued there.
  2. Any commercial invoice must be accompanied by a certificate of origin and approved by the Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands / Sweden / Norway.
  3. Certified copies of documents will not be attested unless it was certified by the issuer and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affair of the corresponding country.
  4. An application is expected to be processed within 4 working days.
  5. You may request to expedite the process for additional administration fees.

Legal Status attestation

The general rules and regulations applies to Legal Status attestation in addition to:

  1. The grantor and two witnesses must be present, all with valid Identification Cards
  2. The embassy authenticate the grantor’s signature, thumb finger print, and the presence of the witnesses. The embassy doesn’t bear any responsibility with regard to the content of the attestation.
  3. An appointment must arranged in advance with the secretary of the consulate.
  4. The application is expected to be processed within the same working day.

Commercial attestations

The general rules and regulations applies to Commercial attestations in addition to:

  1. The grantor and two witnesses must be present, all with valid Identification Cards
  2. The embassy attest the grantor’s signature, thumb finger print, and the presence of the witnesses. The embassy doesn’t bear any responsibility with regard to the content of the authorization.
  3. The application is expected to be processed within the same working day.
  4. Commercial authorizations fees.
